Job purpose
Execute and operate the electrical maintenance operations activities assigned within the designated area under the authority of the Supervisor Electrical. Responsible for ensuring the integrity of facilities, providing technical operational support and analysis while maintaining the electrical operations expenditures. Responsible for maximizing plant operational efficiency, reliability, and safety to meet the requirements and needs of respective business stakeholders.
The position will act as the organization’s mission, vision, values, policies, and guidelines, supported by an IT technology platform, HSE standards, Oman government and other legal justifications and best international practices aligned with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring continuous electrical power flow to plant substations and buildings and applying best work practices in electrical maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical systems and equipment using test equipment and hand tools.
- Oversee the electrical aspects of project implementation in Gas Network facilities and implement both Preventive and Corrective Maintenance (PM) plans according to weekly and monthly schedules.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on field electrical equipment, including UPS, switchgear, transformers, motors, and CP systems, while working to reduce backlogs.
- Issue Work Permits and implement Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for electrical work and maintain close liaison with On-Scene Commanders and Operation Coordinators during emergencies for quick power restoration.
- Ensure electrical equipment maintenance history and reports are updated in (CMMS), including maintenance procedures (MCP) and checklists.
- Identify and address critical issues and repetitive failures in electrical equipment, implementing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) recommendations.
- Attend daily meetings and communicate with Operations, Technical Support, Planning, HSE, and other departments to coordinate maintenance requests and ensure effective execution.
- Maintain technical expertise in electrical functional areas and ensure continuous improvement and adherence to maintenance standards.
- Fully aware of the operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of motors, UPS, rectifiers, fans, alternating current (VFD), transformers, high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) panels, grounding systems, lighting systems, gas heater operations, and monitoring any other operations related to electrical appliances.
- Align with the Electrical Supervisor for required support & Take the Acting responsibility in his absence.
- Achieve certified Electrical authorization license as job level required.
- Assists Technicians in their work, by examining individual components or circuits to identify faults, carrying out various electrical tests, providing technical instructions and inspecting completed repair work to ensure functional operation of Electrical equipment.
- Advises the Supervisor of required spares, materials and tools, and prepares requisitions as necessary, proposes alternatives in case of shortage.
- Continuously review electrical equipment to improve its operational efficiency, reliability, safety and integrity and provide written comments and feedback to the Electrical Supervisor.

Education requirements
Diploma Degree or equivalent.

Preferable English and Arabic

Experience and background
- From 3 to 5 years of experience in operations and maintenance preferably in the oil and gas sectors.
