Job purpose
Provides Robust support on SAP Functional- MM/WM end to end tasks / process / service at OQ, under Manager FICO scope, acting as team player for the design, development and support on all SAP Procurement programs activities, by (1) Providing support and guidance in the configuration, customization, and optimization of SAP MM/WM module functionalities, and (2) overseeing and translating all SAP MM/WM in-house development requirement ensuring technical readiness of new developments roll outs; in order to . ensure the effective utilization of SAP MM/WM to meet the organization's procurement, inventory management and material valuation requirements along with its connected third-party applications
The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Functional Configuration and Customization
- Configure and customize SAP Procurement module settings to align with the organization's financial processes, policies, and reporting requirements.
- Analyse business requirements, translate them into functional & technical specifications, and implement solutions to address complex business scenarios.
Business Process Analysis and Improvement
- Conduct business process analysis and optimization initiatives to identify opportunities for streamlining financial processes, enhancing system efficiency, and improving user productivity.
- Collaborate with Procurement stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions, and implement process improvements within the SAP MM module as well as connected applications
- Adopt OQ’s clean core methodology and propose the solutions as fit to standard
Integration and Interfacing
- Support the integration of SAP Procurement with other SAP modules (e.g., Controlling FI, PM, PP, SD, PS, FM etc) and external systems to ensure data consistency and process alignment across the organization.
- Configure interfaces and data mappings to facilitate seamless data exchange between SAP and other systems or applications.
System Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide expert-level support for SAP MM module-related issues, incidents, and enhancement requests, diagnosing and resolving issues in a timely manner to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Coordinate with SAP or the application supplier to troubleshoot system issues or interface issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for system-related problems and collaborate with technical teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
Training and Knowledge Sharing
- Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and documentation to educate end users on SAP MM module functionalities, best practices, and new features.
- Serve as an (SME) and mentor for junior team members, providing guidance, sharing knowledge, and promoting continuous learning and development.

Education requirements
|
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.
- SAP MM, S4HANA Sourcing & Procurement Certification is a plus

Competencies and skills
|
- A minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Firsthand experience in SAP MM module configuration, customization, and support, with a focus on Procurement business processes and requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP MM module functionalities, including master data, procurement cycle, inventory management, warehouse management, material valuation, account determination, barcode applications and the interfaces.
- Demonstrated working experience with the following software/solutions:
- SAP S4HANA Core System: The core software platform that includes SAP Materials Management (MM) module for managing procurement processes such as requisitioning, purchasing, inventory management, warehouse management, master data such as material master & supplier management.
- E-Procurement Solutions: Cloud based procurement solutions like Jaggaer One Ariba etc, which supports the strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, contract management, supplier performance evaluation, analytics solutions etc and connected to S4HANA.
- SAP S/4HANA Advanced: The next-generation ERP suite from SAP that offers advanced procurement capabilities, real-time analytics, and simplified user experience. S/4HANA includes built-in procurement functionalities and integrates with other SAP solutions for end-to-end procurement process management.
- SAP Fiori: A user experience (UX) platform that provides role-based, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces for SAP applications, including SAP Procurement. Fiori enhances user productivity and simplifies procurement processes through modern and mobile-friendly interfaces.
- User Extensibility: Adequate knowledge about the key user extensibility, adapt UI, CDS vies, embedded analytics etc will be a plus.
- SAP Integration Hub: Middleware or integration platform (CPI) used to connect SAP Procurement Module with external systems, third-party applications, and trading partners. Integration Hub facilitates data exchange, process automation, and seamless integration between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- S4 HANA Add-Ons: Additional software add-ons or extensions may be used to enhance SAP Procurement Module functionality, such as advanced analytics tools, spend management solutions, or compliance and risk management software. Basic knowledge about SAP IBP, IM Barcode solution, Master data management solutions preferred.
- Document Management Systems (DMS): Software solutions for managing procurement-related documents, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement records. DMS integrates with SAP Procurement Module to streamline document storage, retrieval, and collaboration.
- Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics Tools: Software tools for analysing procurement data, generating reports, and gaining insights into procurement performance, supplier spend, purchasing trends, and cost savings opportunities. BI and analytics tools integrate with SAP Procurement Module to enable data-driven decision-making and strategic procurement planning.
- Taxation & E-Invoicing: Taxation in SAP with Oman localization, Import scenarios, E-Invoicing solutions etc.
