Job purpose
Execute the development of reliable solutions and provide technical support on planning engineering tasks as per business needs, under the authority of the Manager Planning and Performance. Responsible for supporting in study and analyses chronic planning & scheduling tuning problems and propose reliable solutions, to the operational targets and business needs and guarantee the operations meet environmental, health and safety requirements.
The position will act by the organization’s mission, vision, values, policies, and guidelines, supported by an IT technology platform, HSE standards, Oman government and other legal justifications and best international practices aligned with National objectives.

Mandate QHSSE Obligations
- Plan preventive maintenance on static/rotating equipment and pipelines for the safety of people and assets.
- Monitor, audit, and inspect preventive maintenance compliance to identify and communicate risks and control measures.
- Guide, advise, communicate, and enforce safe behavioural practices (Life Saving and Process Safety rules) for pipeline processes to perform the tasks safely.

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Ensures availability, quality and reliability of planning & scheduling for Gas Network assets
- Monitors and troubleshoots planning & scheduling network.
- Develops specifications and scope for new planning systems/PLCs to be installed based on process requirements and supports execution of related projects.
- Develop and maintain guidelines and procedures for effective configuring of planning & scheduling
- Carries out hardware preventive maintenance during planned shutdowns.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting, configuring and tuning of planning systems to ensure they are operating to at optimal levels.
- Identify opportunities and delivers solutions for increasing the uptime of DCS, and PLCs and improving the planning systems.
- Provide technical input for evaluation of bids related to planning systems.
- Conduct detailed HAZOP Study & Risk Assessment with the stakeholders on improvement and new projects.
- Execute in-house new enhancements and optimization related to the planning systems across Gas Network
- Communicating with all regions to understand their goals and ambitions.
- Assisting regions to discover and overcome their Planning & Scheduling all CM & PM and set goals.

Working Conditions
Primarily office-based, occasional travel, and sporadic visits to the operation site.

Education requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
|
Language
Preferable English and Arabic
|
Experience and background
- From 8 to10 years of experience in relevant position executing high complex Planning tasks preferable in the oil and gas sectors.
- Proven experience with Personal Safety Management.in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and HSE plans.
