Job purpose

Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of digital solutions across OQEP, ensuring projects, platforms, and enhancements are executed efficiently, securely, and in alignment with business priorities. The Digital Delivery Manager oversees the planning, build, integration, and rollout of digital products and enterprise systems, working closely with Demand Management (Portfolio), IT Operations, and business units to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality.

The role acts as the delivery engine of OQEP’s digital transformation agenda—converting strategic initiatives into live solutions, modernizing legacy processes, enabling automation, and ensuring seamless integration with corporate platforms and operational technology systems.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

A. Delivery Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives, platforms, and enhancements across the organization.
  • Manage project teams, vendors, solution architects, and functional leads to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Establish clear delivery timelines, milestones, and scope agreements with stakeholders.
  • Ensure all deliveries align with IDS strategy, architecture standards, governance frameworks, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Maintain visibility on delivery dependencies, constraints, risk areas, and resource needs.

B. Digital Project & Program Management

  • Manage cross-functional delivery programs using Agile, Scrum, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Maintain a unified delivery pipeline aligned with the enterprise portfolio.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, progress tracking, performance reporting, and proactive escalation of risks and constraints across multiple digital projects.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation, testing, training, and transition-to-operations activities.

C. Technology Integration & Solution Quality

  • Oversee integration of digital systems with IT, OT, SAP, cloud, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Ensure adherence to architectural principles, data standards, DevOps practices, and security-by-design.
  • Conduct quality assurance across all deliverables, including functional testing, UAT, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Work closely with IT Operations to ensure reliable handover, operational readiness, and performance monitoring.

D. Vendor, Contract & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with implementation partners, SaaS providers, and system integrators.
  • Ensure vendor performance meets contractual SLAs, delivery KPIs, and OQEP standards.
  • Coordinate with Finance & Procurement on scope changes, resource planning, and cost control.
  • Engage business owners, SMEs, and leadership to ensure alignment and drive adoption.

E. Continuous Improvement & Digital Maturity

  • Identify opportunities to streamline delivery cycles, automate deployment processes, and improve time-to-value.
  • Promote Agile and DevOps practices within Digital Solutions and across business teams.
  • Drive post-implementation reviews, lessons learned, and delivery optimization.
  • Support innovation requests and pilot emerging technologies in collaboration with IDS and business units.

Key interactions

Internal: IDS (IT Ops, Demand Management, Architecture, Data), PT&C, HSSE, Corporate Teams, Leadership Teams.

External: OQ Corporate Services, Solution Implementation Partners, vendors, OEMs, consultants, SaaS providers, system integrators, consultants.

Notable Working Conditions. Office environment, extensive computer screen use, sporadic visits to operation site.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Engineering, or a related field.

Language

Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)

 

Background and experience

Competencies and skills

  • Minimum 8+ years in digital project delivery, IT solution implementation, or program management.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise systems, cloud solutions, automation platforms, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in energy, oil & gas, industrial, or large-scale corporate environments is an advantage.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong understanding of digital platforms, integration, cloud architectures, and enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
  • Experience with DevOps toolchains, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
  • Solid grasp of code practice principles, data governance, release management and systems engineering.
