Job purpose
The Head of Accelerator Program is responsible for driving the success of OQ's accelerator program by overseeing all outreach activities and strategic partnerships. He/she leads efforts to attract high-potential startups, cultivate relationships with relevant organizations, and promote the program through various channels. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and support the growth of the accelerator program.
Lead OQ's Accelerator Program and assigned team, under VP of Innovation scope, acting as owner of Accelerator Program standards and processes and driver of OQ's accelerator program success by overseeing all outreach activities and strategic partnerships. He/she leads efforts to attract high-potential startups, cultivate relationships with relevant organizations, and promote the program through various channels by (1) Developing and executing the Accelerator Program strategy in alignment with OQ's goals, ensuring a clear pathway for innovation and growth, , (3) Managing Accelerator Program budget effectively, allocating resources to support project initiatives while maintaining financial discipline, (4) Providing visionary leadership and guidance to the of Accelerator Program team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, (5) Overseeing the Accelerator Program execution, and monitoring to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting specified criteria, (6) Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to leverage expertise, resources, and technology in support of the Accelerator Program initiatives, maximizing effectiveness and efficiency
The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Accelerator Program
|
- Run OQ’s accelerator program, which aims to support and nurture startups and entrepreneurs working on innovative solutions in the energy industry.
- Oversees the scouting for promising startups, selecting participants for the accelerator program, providing mentorship and resources to help them grow, and facilitating partnerships between startups and OQ.
- Develop outreach strategies to attract high-potential startups to apply for the accelerator program.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with relevant organizations, such as startup incubators, industry associations, and venture capital firms, to expand the reach of the accelerator program.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
|
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, business units, and support teams, to align accelerator program activities with company strategies and objectives.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout OQ.

- Represent OQ in external forums, conferences, and industry events to build relationships with thought leaders, partners, and stakeholders.

|
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach activities and partnerships, adjusting as needed to achieve program goals and objectives.

|
- Provide regular updates and reports on program performance, outcomes, and impact to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and business cases to support decision-making and investment in innovation initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Change Management
|
- Foster a culture of open innovation by collaborating with external partners, customers, and research institutions.

- Lead and mentor a team of Accelerator Program Project Managers to ensure the successful execution of program activities and participant support.

Education requirements
|
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
|
Language
|
Exceptional knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) | Arabic - Native (desirable)

- 16+ years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving innovation and delivering results.
