Job Purpose Execute, monitor and measure international market / customers sales performance to strengthen the price accuracy and minimizing commercial impact, acting as interface between Commercial and Scheduling sales Operations; to support in planning activity with commercial performance insights as well as participate in new projects initiative and/or business improvements for OQ8.
The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justification’s, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives. |

Main tasks and responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis: • Conduct in-depth market analysis for crude oil, feedstock, and refined products such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and petrochemical feedstocks. • Monitor global and regional supply-demand trends, trade flows, pricing structures, and refinery margins. • Analyze the impact of macroeconomic factors, geopolitical events, regulatory changes, and technological advancements on the oil and gas market. Price Forecasting & Trend Analysis: • Develop price forecasts for crude oil, refinery products, and feedstocks using advanced statistical models and market intelligence tools. • Provide short-term and long-term forecasts to support procurement, production planning, and sales strategy. Data Collection & Reporting: • Collect, interpret, and present market data from various sources, including market reports, trade publications, and governmental agencies. • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders to support business decisions. Market Intelligence: • Track competitor activities, refinery expansions, new project developments, and shifts in market dynamics. • Provide insights into potential market opportunities, risks, and competitive threats. Collaboration & Strategy Development: • Collaborate with refinery operations, procurement, and trading teams to align market insights with business goals. • Assist in developing market entry strategies, pricing models, and long-term business planning for refinery products and crude sourcing. • Conduct scenario planning and risk assessments to evaluate the impact of market volatility on refinery operations and profitability. • Provide recommendations on hedging strategies and risk mitigation plans.

Education requirements |
Diploma or Bachelor degree in relevant field. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in market analysis, forecasting, or strategy development, with a focus on the oil and gas refinery sector. |
