Job dimensions

Marsa LNG is a joint Venture formed of TotalEnergies (80%) and OQ (20%).

Internal exposure: Responsible for Human Resources, Internal Communication and Public Relations (PRO) for accompanying the Company’s evolution outside the E&P tasks. Member of the Management Team.

External exposure: Member of External HR Committees, collaboration with other external bodies eg. Ministry of Energy and Minerals & OPAL.

Activities

General Services (PRO) :

  • Supervises General Services who provide business environment to the Company’s activities in Oman (offices, local contracts & purchasing, insurances, transportation, travels, expatriates accommodation, public relations, immigration, royal Oman police related matters and other shared services).

Organisation

  • Responsible for implementing Marsa procedures, best practices and internal control tools
  • Responsible for structuring, developing and maintaining the Companies Management System
  • Responsible to develop the Company’s Budget for the General Services and Human Resources 

Human Resources: Strategy and policies

  • Responsible of the Human Resources activities (Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Training and Dev, HR Systems…
  • Responsible of the implementation of Marsa policies and procedures

Talent acquisition and development 

  • Proposes and implements the staffing strategy  
  • Carries out recruitment, training and talent development activities 
  • In charge of Omanisation and approval of expatriates work permits (including engagement with the appropriate authorities)

Personnel administration 

  • Responsible of the Affiliate payroll operations 
  • In charge of both Local staff and expatriates administration (time sheets, advances, expense notes, Travel order and follow-up) 

Good place to work 

  • Proposes and implements “good place to work” strategy and actions 
  • Responsible for maintaining a good climate of relations between Management and employees and their representatives 
  • Internal Communication is part of the role 
  • Responsible of the Company’s events (family events and corporate events)  

 

Context and environment

Main challenge is to anticipate and manage the changes along the ramp-up of respective activities and ensuring getting government approvals

 

Accountabilities

Create, implement and maintain Business environment

Make sure that the Company Management System is relevant and up to date, in liaison with TotalEnergies entities. 

Conception, Steering and Operation of all Human Resources Activities   

In charge of Staffing, Comp & Ben, Talent Development, Personnel Administration, Industrial relations and Internal Communication and any other business related to Human Resourcesm and, General Services

                                                                   

Qualifications/Experience required

Masters in Business Administration 

At least 15 years of diversified experience in Human Resources Management 

Good knowledge of Oman Labour Law and market 

Strategic thinking and proactive cooperation.
