JOB PURPOSE:

Oman Tank Terminal Company (“OTTCO”) is 100% owned by OQ and has stepped up its ambition to increase its contribution of creating value for Oman by transforming the company from a project company.

- with the sole objective to develop the Crude Oil storage terminal in Ras Markaz - to the independent liquid bulk storage partner of Oman to support and/or provide storage services with its capabilities in design, own, operate and commercial contracting of (existing) storage infrastructure. For the Commercial department of OTTCO, we are looking for a full time Sr. Business Analyst who needs to support/assist the business development activities and together with the Head of Commercial and BD need to assess the financial and commercial viability of green-/brownfield and M&A projects. The Business Analyst will gather business intelligence by monitoring the liquid storage market and analyzing the competitor landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support in identifying and developing new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with OTTCO’s strategic objectives.
• Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis, including pricing trends, capacity utilization, and commercial propositions, to provide actionable insights.
• Deliver high-quality commercial evaluations and recommendations that inform strategic decisions at the management level
• Perform advanced commercial evaluations of new opportunities, including financial modelling, risk analysis, and scenario planning.
• Participate in and support high-level negotiations, ensuring accurate coordination of financial, legal, and operational aspects.
• Prepare and refine commercial proposals, investment cases, and strategic inputs for liquid and gaseous storage opportunities.
• Act as a subject matter expert in commercial analysis, providing guidance and technical input to junior team members when required.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive database of current and potential investment opportunities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and draft commercial contracts and reports, offering expert recommendations to optimize value and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate closely with Business Development, Project Directors, and senior leadership to ensure smooth execution of growth initiatives.
• Familiarization with QHSE Policies, Objectives, procedures and its record maintenance
• Awareness on Significant environmental aspects, Health and safety hazards, related actual and potential aspects and risks associated with their risk.
• Awareness on Emergency preparedness and response measures.
• Awareness on implications of not conforming to the integrated managements system requirements, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Background and Experience

• 5+ years in similar job in energy industry
