ROLE PURPOSE

 

To supervise warehouse operations to ensure that orders are selected, packaged, loaded, and dispatched safely, timely, and efficiently, and proper records are maintained.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  1. Maintaining & Reviewing Records
 

Compile and maintain equipment inventory records, in-process reports, status, and location of equipment.

Review inventory records on regular/daily basis, manage inventory control policies (minimum inventory, point of order, economic batch), and place orders with suppliers to ensure the availability of required equipment.

 
  1. Inventory Maintenance

Coordinate the process of equipment management – just in time delivery, storage, handling, and control in line with company’s policies.

Organize and maintain inventory and stock control, ensure that storage areas and warehouse are kept clean and tidy, which includes identifying areas where processes could be improved, and work practices amended.

 
  1. Shipments Monitoring

Monitor shipments and deliveries, which are maintained via items recording and documents.

Utilize reports to maintain own knowledge of the warehouse project statuses and follow up accordingly.

 
  1. Communication with Stakeholders

Communicate with vendors whenever there are issues with a delivery, to resolve the problem and ensure that the orders are fulfilled appropriately and in due time.

 
  1. Administrative Tasks
 

Prepare and process all paperwork relating to the shipping of orders for customers as well as processing invoices for each delivery. This involves mailing invoices and other related documents to customers.

 
  1. Expedition of Equipment
 

Coordinate and expedite equipment, parts, and assemblies according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities.

 
  1. Specifications Checking

Examine equipment delivered to verify conformance to specifications.

 
  1. Policies & Procedures
 

Comply with the implementation of departmental policies and procedures, to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled.

 
  1. Health, Safety & Quality
 

Comply with all relevant health, safety and quality requirements, in order to guarantee employee safety and legislative compliance.

 
  1. Continuous Improvement
 

Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘leading best practices’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

 

Educational & Professional Qualifications and Experience

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration / similar field from a recognised University
  • Professional Warehousing certification is an advantage
  • Proficiency in English is a must, Arabic is a plus

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 to 6 years of direct and relevant experience in Warehousing, preferably in power generation industry, or process plant operations
  • Experience in SAP & Material Management is an advantage
