Job purpose
Execute all facility (static equipment, on plot piping, pipeline & PRVs) integrity management activities (in full partnership with the operations team) and the team providing technical inputs; through (1) Assess integrity of static equipment, onplot piping, pipeline & PRVs and provide technical inputs to support in operating the assets and minimize technical failures /incidents, prolong life, and reduce costs (3) Plan & prioritize inspection services (based on Risk Based Inspection) that ensure availability, integrity, and safety of the Assets in OQ Upstream, and support operations in meeting all regulatory and industry standards; 2) Execute and implement international & company standards and best practices for continuous improvement of asset integrity in order to contribute to highest levels of services, quality, safety and productivity to potentially support the growth OQ Upstream business performance and in turn profitability.
The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justification’s, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities
- Execute all necessary asset integrity management related activities to ensure timely integrity support to maintenance, external contractors, operation, planning and others as appropriate.
- Optimize inspection tasks and reduce maintenance costs through a comprehensive process and system.
- Document integrity support efforts and maintain all related data in appropriate systems (Asset Performance Management (APM), SAP, etc.).
- Provides integrity support to various Departments, review equipment reports and tracks performance of assigned assets, and communicates observations made via recommendations to the Operations and/or Maintenance Departments.
- Execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts for equipment failures, as well as tracking and implementing corrective action plans.
- Identify problems with static equipment, on plot piping, pipeline & PRVs being used outside of specification and recommend corrective actions.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining systems and processes to assess, monitor, and continuously improve Asset Integrity Management.
- Governance role to ensure engineering, maintenance, and project work is carried out in accordance with the required technical standards, processes, and procedures while operating in compliance with local regulations and corporate standards.
- Own and continually improve the integrity and inspections strategies and processes to ensure optimum balance between technical integrity, reliability, availability and cost.
- Develop and maintain specific KPI's for the measurement of integrity performance across the assets reporting against these KPI's to provide clear visibility of the delivery and effectiveness of the Integrity Management Strategies
- Training and mentoring role for Graduate Integrity Engineers as well as Maintenance and Operations personnel for integrity related aspects
- Consult and advise on new equipment selections for long life, low operating costs and reduced maintenance
- Analyze equipment and process trends to identify improvement opportunities
- Be an integral person in the Management of Change (MOC) process
- Develop and maintain auditable record system of inspection and inspection results
- Execute Risk Based Inspection (RBI) programs and plans for static equipment, on plot piping, pipeline & PRVs that ensures focused inspections in Develop & introduce process controls as it relates to asset integrity inspection and monitoring

- Skills in integrity management processes with specific skills in material, corrosion, testing, inspection, integrity assessment & evaluations, reliability management for pipelines and facilities.
- Skills in material selection, degradation mechanisms, limitations, controls and mitigations.
- Knowledge with oil and gas processes, systems and facilities.
- Familiar with project/facility life cycle starting from definition stage, through design, construction, commissioning, operations, and abandonment.
- Familiar with international industry standards e.g. ASME, API, NACE, etc.
- Fully familiar with functional aspects of pipeline operation, maintenance and management.
- Thorough knowledge and proven skills in pipelines and facilities design, engineering standards, codes, regulations, operating and maintenance philosophies and practices.
- Thorough knowledge and proven skills in commissioning requirements, integrity assessment, control systems and monitoring of pipelines and related facilities.
- Responsible for the healthiness of all pressure retaining assets e.g. pipelines, piping and all pressure retaining equipment e.g. tanks, vessels, valves, safety valves, etc.
- Set integrity management strategies for the various assets in the organization.
- Set standards and specification for integrity management work processes which shall be inclusive from asset definition stage (i.e. concept), engineering, construction, commissioning, operation /maintenance and decommissioning.
- Plan, prepare and manage division budget including cost control and variance reviews.
- Ensure the execution of all Integrity related activities including monitoring, inspections, troubleshooting, failure analysis, repair & rectification.
- Monitor the performance of the company’s Integrity results. Review the compliance and improve the Integrity Management Systems for continual improvement with the participation of department Head.
- Ensure that adequate inspection is carried out for pipelines and facilities and that any repair work is executed within required time.
- Ensure that all facilities and pipelines are operating within their life as supported by proper assessments and studies and that availability of facilities and pipelines is maximized.
- Ensure that pipelines and facilities are properly protected from corrosion.
- Responsible for material selection and corrosion (and other degradations) management strategies and plans for all asset types, thus including pipelines, piping and all pressure retaining equipment e.g. tanks, vessels, valves, safety valves, etc.
- Establish and develop inspection philosophies and techniques.
- Establish and develop mitigation measures and threat control parameters.
- Establish and implement asset up gradation & rehabilitation plans. This includes long term replacement plans and strategies.

Education requirements
|
- Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, or related.

Language requirements

- Certification Holder of National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) certification is an advantage
- Knowledge of inspection, corrosion engineering, welding, materials and QA / QC.
- Experience and well versed in field investigation, inspections, troubleshooting, performance checks, data compilation, etc.
- Understanding of Process Plant (P& ID / PFD) & Engineering drawings and OEM manuals.
