ROLE PURPOSE |
||||||
|
To plan complex activity, execute, and supervise mechanical engineering and maintenance activities of medium to high complexity, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of power and water plant mechanical systems. The role includes technical analysis, troubleshooting, supervision of technicians, and continuous improvement of plant reliability and performance. |

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
||||||
|
||||||
|
Analysing complex mechanical issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability and availability and supporting Mechanical Leader to Manages the project timeline, budget, and resource allocation. |
||||||
Plan complex activity, supervise, and execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for rotating and static equipment in accordance with OEM recommendations and plant maintenance strategies. |
||||||
|
||||||
|
Provide complex technical guidance and supervision to Mechanical Engineer or mechanical technicians during maintenance works, overhauls, shutdowns, and emergency repairs to ensure work quality and safety compliance |
||||||
Collaborate with other vender and mechanical maintenance team members to work on solving complex mechanical issues. |
||||||
|
||||||
|
Develop, review, and update mechanical maintenance SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation. Interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and manuals to support maintenance and modification activities. |
||||||
|
||||||
|
Review and prepare maintenance reports, job PTW, and failure analysis reports in CMMS/SAP systems to ensure accurate history and traceability. |
||||||
|
||||||
|
Identify critical spare parts, prepare technical specifications tender strategies, review vendor offers, and support inventory optimization for mechanical equipment and Negotiates contracts, manages tenders, and evaluates vendor reliability. |
||||||
Participate in mechanical maintenance and shutdown planning, ensuring work scope, resources, and schedules are technically sound and achievable. |

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure mechanical works are executed in compliance with health, safety, and quality Aware of engineering standards. |

Comply with all relevant health, safety and quality requirements, to guarantee employee safety and legislative compliance. |

Lead Mechanical Engineer and Technician and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability improvement, cost optimization, energy efficiency, and adoption of industry best practices. |

Subport Mechanical leader to focuses on the Lifecycle Cost. They analyse whether it is cheaper to repair an asset or replace it entirely. They often manage the O&M (Operations & Maintenance) budget for their section and handle the justification for capital expenditures (CAPEX). |
